The Role
We're hiring our first Test Engineer to bridge R&D and Manufacturing. You’ll design, implement, and manage testing infrastructure for our HVAC product line. This is a strategic, high-impact role — you’ll own the test function and bring expertise that drives product quality, reliability, and scalability.
What You’ll Do
Own the design, development, and execution of test systems for performance, reliability, and validation testing, including the ability to root cause and troubleshoot electromechanical failures with a high degree of independence.
Develop and maintain automated test setups using LabVIEW or equivalent tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python, C++, PLCs).
Translate engineering requirements into robust test procedures and systems.
Use statistical analysis tools (e.g., JMP, Minitab) to evaluate test data, identify trends, and drive product and process decisions
Communicate test results and insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, enabling fast, informed decisions across R&D, Manufacturing, and Leadership.
Collaborate closely with R&D, Manufacturing, and Product teams to ensure testing aligns with product design and production goals.
Specify and source testing equipment, sensors, and data acquisition systems.
Set up lab infrastructure, safety protocols, and documentation systems.
Act as the strategic lead for all testing decisions — from early-stage development through scaled production.
What You’ll Bring

Required Skills and Experience:
5+ years experience in test engineering, ideally in HVAC, electro-mechanical systems, or hardware startups.
Strong experience with C++, and Python, or similar test automation software. Ideally, LabView.
Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and thermal systems.
Experience setting up test labs from scratch and working cross-functional teams, R&D, Mechanical Engineering, Electric Engineering.
Demonstrated ability to self-manage, make data-driven decisions, and drive initiatives independently.
Some travel required for this role.
