About the role:
We are seeking a technically inclined experienced Engineering Manager to lead our talented team of engineers in the development and enhancement of our cutting-edge information security and compliance monitoring platform. The Engineering Manager will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing engineering culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Development:Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning. Develop and nurture talent within the team, promoting professional growth and career advancement opportunities.
Technical Oversight: Utilize your deep technical expertise to provide guidance and direction in architectural design, code reviews, and the implementation of best practices. Ensure adherence to coding standards, scalability, and performance optimization.
Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring alignment with product roadmaps, timelines, and quality standards. Collaborate closely with product management and other cross-functional teams to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively.
Strategic Planning:Collaborate with senior leadership to define the engineering roadmap and strategy, aligned with business goals and market demands. Drive innovation and explore new technologies to enhance the functionality and scalability of our platform.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:Establish and maintain robust quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of secure, reliable, and compliant software solutions. Work closely with our security and compliance teams to uphold industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Communication:Serve as a key liaison between the engineering team and other departments, including product management, customer success, and sales. Effectively communicate project status, technical challenges, and strategic initiatives to stakeholders at all levels.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience (10 years) in a leadership role within a software engineering or technology environment, preferably in the SaaS or cybersecurity sector.
Strong technical background with expertise in software development, architecture, and cloud-native technologies.
Demonstrated experience in project management, agile methodologies, and cross-functional collaboration.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire multidisciplinary teams.
Deep understanding of information security principles, compliance frameworks, and best practices.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration technologies (e.g., Kubernetes) is highly desirable.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Javascript and familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
