Job Description
A team member who is self-motivated and dynamic, willing to take on multiple secretarial challenges in a fast paced environment, a team player with a strong legal acumen and a sense of professional integrity, great with interpersonal, organisational and communication skills and capable of bringing innovative ideas while approaching legal challenges.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Drafting, negotiating, preparing, vetting, and reviewing terms of various complex business, non-commercial and commercial contracts, including but not limited to software licenses agreements, NDAs, distributor agreements, research collaboration agreements, specific study agreements, service agreements, letters of intent, vendor agreements, employment agreements etc., across multiple jurisdictions.
- Providing legal advice and support to the company on general corporate law issues, advising company management on day-to-day affairs, policy matters, and managing legal issues arising in different areas of the company, including but not limited to corporate matters, international commercial law, disputes, , IP laws, etc.
- Ensure ESG compliance and assist the ESG manager in setting up and implementing the ESG framework including laying down the ESG road map and implementation of the same
- Liaising and coordinating with external counsel and authorities, in relation to legal and compliance matters of Company and communicating the opinions and advice received from external counsel and authorities to internal stakeholders.
- Managing the Intellectual Property portfolio of the organisation.
- Liaising with the Data Protection Officer with various data protection related matters, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and responding to queries received from internal and external stakeholders.
- Being familiar with applicable laws and regulations related to IP, open-source, etc.
- Advising Company’s HR on employment matters, review and revise Company policies and processes to support the Company's operation and growth, ensuring that the Company fulfils its legal and statutory and requirements.
- Research and drafting for legal and other matters, creating workflows, playbooks and trackers to improve team processes.
- Managing overall legal, secretarial compliance of the organisation and its subsidiaries.
- Assisting with such other tasks including administrative tasks, conducting extensive legal research, and presenting summaries and legal implications with the view of resolving legal issues in an effective manner.
Skills and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in law from a reputed law school.
- Experience of US/UK laws preferred.
- Excellent legal and business judgment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all stakeholders.

- Ability to balance legal and business needs, to assess appropriate risks and make decisions.
- Meticulous and organised, with excellent communication, strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to collaborative working.

- Previous experience in managerial, supervisory, or leadership capacity.
