Overview:
The Procurement Manager role and responsibility is to scale and drive a centralized, efficient and “best in class” procurement function focused on business partnering and effective execution. This individual will build out and manage the procurement function, interfacing directly with our senior and executive staff, and will report to the VP, Controller
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and support to our business partners through contract negotiation and vendor management.
- Assist in negotiating contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best possible pricing and terms and lead department-specific sourcing project.
- Develop and implement a scalable, end-to-end procurement process to include selecting, implementing and maintaining a procurement platform solution.
- Create strategies for procuring software and services that meet the organization's needs. This can include analyzing market trends, identifying potential suppliers and developing supplier relationships.
- Manage the procurement process from request to provisioning which includes tracking software licenses/usage and renewals of software and service subscription agreements.
- Ensure all procurement requests align with the approved budget by verifying that items are authorized within the budget plan and their costs remain within allocated limits.
- Monitor and evaluate vendor performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements. This can include evaluating quality, pricing, and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal business leaders.
- Provide cost-benefit analysis and regular reports on procurement activities, highlighting key metrics, budget utilization, and any significant issues or improvements.
- Create, develop and standardize cost-effective strategies for the purchasing of software, hardware and services. Conduct cost analyses and set benchmarks for improvement.
- Assist departments in maintaining compliance with all Company policies regarding contracting and purchasing
- Collaborate with Legal, IT and CISO teams to ensure vendor compliance with all internal data security requirements and controls.

- Expert negotiator with vendors to drive best outcomes
- SME on procurement workflow and related internal controls
- Expert in MS Excel, Google sheets, and procurement applications.
- Self-starter willing to wear multiple hats and drive end-to-end procurement management for the organization.
- Excellent verbal, written, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to operate in a fast-moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment with tight deadlines.
- Strong presentation skills (both oral and content) for both internal and external audiences.
- Unwavering integrity.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience selecting, implementing and maintaining a procurement platform solution.
- Understands vendor compliance with respect to internal data security requirements and controls.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Accounting, or related field from an accredited institution.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in procurement and purchasing management, finance, accounting or business operations.
- 4 years of experience in a high-growth fintech company, public or private.
