Overview: One Inc is looking for a Product Manager to discover operational needs, build & prioritize the roadmap, and define requirements for product enhancements to support operational scale and compliance needs.
In this role, you will act as the connective tissue between product management and One Inc’s payment operations team. Your primary persona will be the One Inc payment operations team. You will be responsible for understanding and evaluating the opportunities to improve workflow efficiencies and optimize operational scale, while ensuring all payments industry compliance best practice are adhered to. You will work closely with the One Inc payment operations team as your primary input source, define requirements, prioritize the backlog, and work with engineering to implement and measure impact of enhancements made.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire product life cycle for merchant onboarding, settlement operations, risk, and payments industry compliance. Work cross-functionally as a leader of product roadmap prioritization.
- Specify requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to One Inc payment operations team functions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices for payment operations and compliance.
- Write the business plan for your product based on market opportunity and problems. Determine impact and effectively prioritize based on business impact.
- Analyze market trends and summarize these to other departments, and incorporate insights gained from the analysis into product feature requirements.
- Understand how other solutions in the payments industry are operated and share operational best practices.
- Work with One Inc payment operations to commercialize, train, and roll-out product enhancements, including measurement and monitoring of impact and adoption.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience making and landing recommendations to executives.
- Experience in and knowledge of market research techniques.
- A passion for bringing objective evidence to every discussion—not satisfied to argue product futures in a vacuum without external data and insights.
Education & Experience:
- Preferred candidates will have experience in: Card issuing, merchant services, consumer-facing mobile applications, B2B payments, financial software, analytics & data visualization, property & casualty insurance.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or another related discipline, or relevant experience.
- 3+ years of software product management experience.
- English fluency at native level.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time to customer and other locations in the United States.
