Overview: The Senior Payment Processing Clerk – Inbound Settlement is responsible for payments settlement and reconciliation functions ensuring daily reconciliation of funds processed. The completion of daily and monthly reconciliation outstanding items, 1099k reporting and reconciliation, advanced research, credit card interchange analysis, and audit requests. You will utilize a variety of reporting, analytical, and task management tools to accomplish your tasks. In this role, you will interact with multiple departments within the company, including the support and development teams. You will work with various payment providers, financial institutions, and One Inc departments to resolve settlement and processing issues.
Key Responsibilities:

Complete accurate and timely production reconciliations for month-end accounting close, to include credit card, ACH, and Third-Party.

Responsible for daily quality reviews for reconciliation team

Responsible for daily uploads of external interchange data into internal reporting databases

Develop efficient & effective workflows and procedures, reconciliations & other controls, as well as analytical & reporting tools for interfaced data

Research and resolve discrepancies in payments processing and merchant funding.

Assist with approval of month end journal entries in NetSuite

Assist in the redesign and optimization of daily account reconciliation processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency

Coordinate with One Inc Support team in researching and responding to customer inquiries and reports of payment issues.

Collaborate with the team in the development and implementation of an automated third-party reconciliation software

Collaborate throughout the organization to develop comprehensive reporting processes to support timely and in-depth analysis

Communicate with payment providers, financial institutions, and vendors regarding payment processing issues, unreconciled items, and escalations.

Exercise discretion and independent judgement in performance of Settlement responsibilities.

Perform other special projects as needed by management.

Education & Experience:

Degree in Accounting or related degree.

Minium 8 years of relevant experience.
