Responsibilities/Duties

Overall accountability for the production reliability of One Inc’s ClaimsPay platform.

Leads a global team of software engineers and quality engineers.

Oversees and drives end-to-end product architecture.

Determines overall architectural principles, frameworks, and standards.

Crafts solutions that are enterprise scalable and maintainable.

Drives strategic technology initiatives, working with Product Managers, other Architects, Engineers, SMEs and the broader One Inc organization.

Leads and collaborates with Production Support engineering teams to understand and monitor work queues for Continuous Improvement opportunities.

Leads design reviews and code reviews.
-
Establishes and documents engineering best practices while ensuring team adherence.

Develops technical performance architecture that solves most complex performance issues.

Serve as the Engineering lead for: escalated events that create client disruption; driving the identification of root cause; implementing associated preventative actions.

Collaborates with Infrastructure teams to ensure that all platform capabilities that are Critical to Quality are instrumented and measured.

Collaborates with Quality Assurance team to remediate testing gaps that may lead to defects escaping to production.

Collaborates with Security team to ensure on-going PCI compliance of platforms.

Collaborates with Vendor Partners to identify and drive the implementation of Continuous Improvement to enhance Reliability and Performance.

Works in a consultative fashion to improve communication, teamwork, and alignment among teams inside and outside of the organization.

Analyzes and provides feedback on product strategy.

Provides input into long-range product requirements, standard methodologies, and operational guidelines, with focus on continuous improvement of platform reliability and serviceability,
-
Drives research, case studies, and prototypes on cutting edge technologies and how they can be used.

Ensures that we are continuously raising our standard of engineering excellence.
Skills and Experience
-
Education: Bachelor Degree in Computer Science (Master Degree Preferred)
-
Experience with cloud native architecture.
-
Expert in PHP, C#, .NET Core, Azure.
-
Expert in SugarCRM.
-
Proficiency in TDD, Domain Driven Architecture, CQRS, Design Patterns, and Clean and Secure Coding Standards.
-
Experience working as an architect in insure-tech or fin-tech space with demonstrated success at designing for high volume, scalability, and availability.

Large scale implementations of Cloud Native Solutions, Containers, Microservices
-
Mastery in multiple programming languages and platforms
-
Excellent communication skills.

More than 10 years of software development experience

Ability to independently craft and deliver large complex projects

Experience with Agile development methodology (e.g., Scrum), Scaled frameworks desirable
-
Experience with international platform/product developer desirable (multilingual, multi-currency, data protection/privacy) desirable
Leadership and Influence

Ability to provide coaching to team members to support their understanding of the architecture and aid in their technical development

Ability to work with other architects, principal architects, and Chief Security and Information Officers to shape the architectural vision and roadmap for the organization.

Ability to drive long-term design strategies that span multiple complex projects, deliver technical reports and performance presentations to customers and at industry events

15 years’ experience in the Information Technology arena, at least 3 years management or leadership experience in this field
