Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Designer with a strong background in designing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) products, ideally within the Fintech industry. You will play a pivotal role in crafting end-to-end user experiences, from ideation to execution, for complex financial tools and platforms. Reporting to our Head of Product Design, you’ll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver designs that balance user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility. Your proven track record of success in SaaS and Fintech will help drive our product vision forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Design Ownership: Lead the design process for new features and enhancements, creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that solve real user problems.
- User-Centric Approach: Conduct user research, usability testing, and feedback analysis to inform design decisions and ensure exceptional user experiences.
Collaborate Continuously: Work side-by-side with product managers and engineers from discovery through delivery—design is not a handoff, it’s a team sport.
Go Wide, Then Focus: Facilitate workshops to explore a broad range of ideas, then converge quickly on the most promising concepts to test. Use Design Sprints early and often as a way to go from unknown to known capturing organizational alignment on problem space
- Drive Outcome-Oriented Design: Measure success based on real-world user behavior and business impact—not just pixels or stakeholder opinion.
- Champion the User, Continuously: Advocate for user needs through usability testing, interviews, and data analysis to ensure solutions are grounded in reality.
Skills:
- Familiarity with front-end development principles (HTML/CSS) is helpful for communicating with engineers and iterating on designs. Coding skills are a strong plus, especially for advanced prototyping or developer handoff.
- Deep understanding of SaaS design patterns and Fintech user needs, including data-heavy interfaces and compliance considerations.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills to articulate design decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on iterative improvement.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity, making progress with incomplete information, and working iteratively in fast-moving environments.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Proficiency in leveraging AI-driven design tools (e.g., generative design platforms or AI-powered prototyping tools) to enhance user experience and streamline design workflows.
- Understanding of AI model interpretability to design interfaces that effectively communicate complex AI outputs (e.g., predictive analytics or risk assessments) to financial professionals.
- Experience in human-AI interaction design, ensuring intuitive and transparent integration of AI-driven features in Fintech applications.
- Previous success designing for B2B SaaS platforms targeting financial professionals.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and their application in Fintech products.
Experience & Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience within payment processing space in change control, or merchant onboarding the payments Industry - payments experience is preferred.
- Seasoned product design experience, with a strong focus on SaaS products.
- Demonstrable success designing for Fintech applications (e.g., payments, banking, wealth management, or financial analytics).
- A robust portfolio showcasing end-to-end design projects, with measurable outcomes (e.g., increased user adoption, improved retention, or streamlined workflows).
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma (Primary) or other tools that empower you.
- Experience with high-level prototyping
