Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and document technical accounting research on complex transactions, including revenue recognition (ASC 606), software capitalization (ASC 340), and equity-based compensation (ASC 718).
- Account for strategic transactions such as acquisitions (ASC 805), consolidations (ASC 810) and recapitalizations (ASC 505).
- Prepare and review financial statements and supporting documentation in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
- Monitor and implement new accounting standards and ensure best practices are adopted across the organization.
- Partner with finance, legal, and external auditors to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Identify and lead process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency, internal controls, and compliance.
- Assist with the monthly financial close management process, including preparation of complex accounting entries.
- Act as a technical resource and mentor to junior accounting professionals, contributing to team development and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, ideally including a mix of public accounting and corporate roles.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Experience with financial transactions, consolidations, and reporting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- CPA certification highly preferred
- Big 4 audit and SOX experience are a plus.
- Strong, analytical communication (verbal and written), project management, and business partnering skills.
