Software Engineer Level I (AI & Agentic Systems)
Location: US Remote
Overview:
As a Software Engineer Level I, you will support the development of modern software systems, including AI-powered applications. You’ll work closely with senior engineers to build and maintain full-stack components, contribute to AI agent development, and grow your skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of software components, including backend and frontend features
- Collaborate with senior engineers to implement AI-based agents and integrate LLM APIs
- Participate in the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment
- Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to code reviews
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in development and staging environments
- Learn and apply best practices in software engineering, version control, and containerized environments
- Research and experiment with new tools and technologies under guidance
Skills:
- Basic understanding of programming principles and object-oriented design
- Familiarity with Python (required); experience with JavaScript/TypeScript or web development is a plus
- Exposure to or interest in AI technologies, especially LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Claude) or agentic systems is a plus
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic frontend concepts is helpful
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
- Strong problem-solving and learning mindset
- Ability to work independently with guidance and collaborate effectively in a remote team
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or currently pursuing one
- 1+ years of professional software development experience
- Any academic, personal, or internship experience with AI/ML or LLMs is a plus
