LinkSquares is looking for a Sr. Director of Accounting to join our finance team and to be responsible for owning the accounting function across the entire business.
A successful candidate will be an entrepreneur and hands-on professional who will play a key role in the continued financial health of the company and support its strategic initiatives. This position will be responsible for scaling the accounting function as the company continues to grow.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and significantly participate in key projects and strategic initiatives
- Manage the monthly financial close to comply with US GAAP
- Lead the accounting team in monthly and quarterly close processes
- Manage partnerships with external auditors and third-party specialists in execution of the annual audits, tax returns and 409(a) valuations
- Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Legal, HR, IT, Internal Audit and FP&A
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency, streamline workflows and controls, and continually identify opportunities for automation
- Exhibit flexibility and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments as they are identified and to assist with various ad-hoc projects as needed
- Prepare the company from an accounting perspective to operate internationally
- Build the technical infrastructure and control environment to support the company’s scaling
- Provide accounting expertise on M&A transactions from pre-acquisition due diligence through post-acquisition integration
- Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll for the Company
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience (Ideally 4+ years in a Big 4 public accounting and 5+ years in industry, 5+ years in SaaS software, startup experience a plus)
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in an Accounting Manager role or Controller(or greater)
- Strong understanding/proficiency of technical accounting
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience with multi-national, multi-currency transactions and consolidations
- Experience in collaborating with remote colleagues and employees globally
- Must thrive in a rapid-paced and dynamic business environment
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to direct and supervise
- Ability to solve practical problems
- CPA license
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
