About the role:
We are hiring a self-driven, talented, and detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer with experience in manual testing. Join us in building the best fintech product used across Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong, and more places.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Planning and Design
- Analyze product requirements and system specifications to design detailed and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive manual test cases for web, mobile, and backend systems.
- Test Execution
- Execute manual test cases across multiple platforms (Web, Android, iOS) to identify defects and ensure product quality.
- Document, track, and resolve bugs and issues effectively using tools such as Jira or similar.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate closely with development, product, and design teams to understand new features and regression impact.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Quality Assurance Documentation
- Maintain detailed test documentation including test cases, test plans, test reports, and bug reports.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of test processes and outcomes.
- Utilise existing automation to save manual efforts
- Have basic knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Rest assured Appium) & Java concepts for understanding the overall QA process.
- Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and new testing methodologies.
- Recommend and implement improvements to testing processes and workflows.
- Help to onboard and mentor new QA members joining in the future
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience: 3-6 years of practical experience in fintech or financial services-based product testing.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Strong understanding of manual testing methodologies and test processes.
- Experience in testing web, mobile[must have], and API applications.
- Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Postman) and bug tracking systems.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills for identifying issues.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively within an Agile team and adapt to changing requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of automation tools (e.g. Selenium, Rest assured Appium) for utilizing existing test automation on a daily basis
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices
