About the role:
Based in our Singapore office and reporting to the Head of Compliance, the Governance Risk Manager will play a key role in developing and driving the company's operational risk strategy and policies.
What will you be doing?
- Support the Head of Compliance to design and implement an Governance and Compliance Risk Management framework tailored to a fast growing fintech start-up environment
- Roll out the Operational Risk Management process while facilitating and promoting the understanding of operational risk requirements across the organization
- Manage and support the implementation of operational risk initiatives
- Establish and ensure the accurate and timely completion of periodic Key Risk Indicator (KRI) updates and Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) exercises
- Establish and manage the Loss Event Reporting in the Operational Loss databases and ensure timely reporting with accurate data
- Ensure risks and issues identified are resolved in an appropriate and timely manner
- Continuously improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of operational risk processes
- Other ad-hoc projects that may be assigned from time to time
What you will need:
- 5-7 years experience in Operational and regulatory Risk Management, preferably with experience in a fintech start-up environment
- Experience designing and implementing an Operational Risk Management framework
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Ability to explain theoretical concepts to staff across all levels in the organization with varying backgrounds
- Good knowledge of fintech products to SMEs
- Understanding of industry trends and developments as well as their impact on the business
- Fluent in written and verbal English
